Caribbean Moms and Dads - We want you!

check out our new logo!

So here it is - the new SocaMom.com logo.  The amazing logo we had is still around (the beloved "Carnival Mom"), but this is the logo that you will see on banners, business cards, flyers, etc.  I had the privilege of discussing how to take SocaMom.com into communities after the Black Girls Run panel at Blogging While Brown.  Here was the problem.  I had just finished rebranding SocaMom.com - the blog - and people had such an amazing reaction to the new look of the website, and the new cards, that "Carnival Mom" didn't really fit anymore.

My new look is fun, colorful, and modern - and stars my family.  While I think we are pretty awesome, we don't represent every Caribbean American family.  So while the blog and my personal business cards for SocaMom.com will keep the new look, this logo will be heading out into the community.

That being said, I am looking for SocaMom.com volunteer community ambassadors.  Community Ambassadors would be charged with the task of leading local meetup groups, planning local events, and helping more Caribbean Moms connect on and offline.

The ideal community ambassador is:

  • A mom or dad of Caribbean descent (born anywhere but with ties to the Caribbean)
  • Active in their community or looking to become more active
  • A member of local Caribbean community organizations or interested in becoming a member
  • Able to adhere to SocaMom.com guidelines for events and the use of the logo
  • Dedicated to building a community of Caribbean Moms who support one another

We will provide community ambassadors with business cards, event banners, and other printed materials as needed for events and community outreach.

If you are interested in becoming a community ambassador, click on "Contact Us" and choose "Community Ambassador" as the subject of your message.
