Thank you for participating in the BETA testing of SocaMom.com.  The concept for the site was introduced at Blogalicious in Miami in October of 2010, and the site has been in development since November 2008. The official launch is scheduled for June 2011, and we are pleased that you have decided to be a part of it.

Testing Instructions

ð       Log in with Facebook or use registration form at http://www.socamom.com/soca

ð       Go to your profile and test all tabs including image uploads

ð       Try editing your profile

ð       Visit the forum, and create posts using all available features, reply to posts

ð       Send private messages from profiles and forum

ð       Visit the member list and make connections with other members

ð       Use the contact form to give bug reports and feature requests

A short online evaluation form will be sent to the email address that you have provided with questions on general layout, appearance, and ease of navigation.  Please do not include that information in your bug report/feature request communication.

Blogging Capabilities

Your blog address will be requested within the evaluation form.  Once your blog is reviewed and accepted, your login permissions will be upgraded.  You will get notification of this upgrade.  Once your membership has been upgraded, you will see “Add Post” and “Add Link” added to your menu.  You will also have access to tutorials that explain how to manage a blog in Joomla via the website and (if you would like) using an Android application.

Private Beta Testing: A select group of bloggers and individuals are invited to the site to test features.  This phase is by invitation only.

Public Beta Testing: Those who have been invited to test the site privately are encouraged to invite friends, twitter followers, Facebook friends, and blog subscribers to preview and provide feedback for the site.

Please note that the testing schedule is subject to change, and may be faster than indicated.  Be sure to add This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
