Adding a Pinterest module to your Joomla website is MUCH easier than you think! This method uses your existing 1.5 tools in your Administration panel, and is 100% FREE! This will take you a total of 2 minutes... or probably even less!
After searching... and searching... I decided to just try something out - and it worked.
1. Find your Pinterest RSS feed... http://pinterest.com/REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_USERNAME/feed.rss - Copy it to your clipboard.
2. Log into your Joomla Administration Panel, mouse over EXTENSIONS, then click on MODULES.
3. Click on NEW.
4. Choose FEED DISPLAY then click next.
5. Paste your RSS feed, name it, and set the module position and other parameters.
VOILA! Depending on the width of your module position, and the style of your site, you may have to do some styling in your CSS. I got lucky - mine worked out perfectly as is...
If it worked for you, you can thank me by leaving a comment!
Have a fantastic day!

"I missed you so much... I followed you today..." - Oran Juice Jones, "The Rain"
I follow a lot of people. Many of them I wouldn't have known about if they hadn't followed me. I am a firm believer in reaching out to people that you think need to know you. Here's the thing though... I don’t always follow back. I have my reasons. Here are fifteen reasons I probably won't follow you back.
Add a comment Read more...When I was growing up, "clout" meant exactly what Dictionary.com says it means...
"A heavy blow with the hand or a hard object (ie. a clout on the ear)"
Yes, it has other meanings, but the above definition was first on the list. When I heard that word, at any time, my first instinct was to duck. Well, if you have checked your Klout score lately (some of you may have given up since it seemed like no matter how much time you stayed on Twitter and Facebook, it just seemed to get lower and lower), it was a clout - the good kind (is there a good kind?).
I looked at mine, and it had jumped 10 points - WHA?
Seems that as of yesterday, they have updated the formulas and algorithms they are using to calculate Klout. Not sure if this is in response to the growing popularity of Kred, but it very well could be.
With employers, and even potential mates (!) checking your Klout score, I am sure that the single and unemployed feel like the social media gods have smiled down upon them. Here's the statement from Klout.com from August 14, 2012:
"We have released updates to the scoring model that will affect the Klout Scores of all users beginning today. In this update, more inputs have been added to the scoring model from Twitter, Facebook, foursquare, Google+, Linkedin, Klout, and Wikipedia. To learn more about these changes, check out discover.klout.com and The Klout Score page. Your previous Klout Score and history will become inaccessible. The updated Klout Score would not be comparable to the old Klout Score given the differences in inputs and we would be unable to support both the updated and old scoring model at once (which would be required to show you your previous Klout Score history)." - Klout.com
So if you looked at your Klout score and were feeling like a total rock star because your score jumped a few points - go with that feeling. You are a rock star, no matter what Klout says! Oh, and if you aren't on Klout yet - go over and join! They have some great perks!
Add a commentI am totally in love with the Photoshop Touch for my ASUS tablet. I can take a picture, edit it on the spot, and upload it to my site, Facebook, or Twitter! I am looking forward to seeing how well it works for my upcoming conferences...
If you have an Android tablet or iPad, you will appreciate being able to edit photos (layers and all) with this affordable tablet version of Photoshop, save them, and upload directly to Facebook or Twitter. For bloggers, timing is everything. Waiting until you have time to get back to your laptop or PC to upload and edit a photo taken with your tablet is time consuming. For what most bloggers need to do to a photo, this tablet version is perfect. If you have a tablet, and just need to do simple (and complex if you want) editing to photos before you upload them, tweet them, post them, or blog them, this solution is great for around 10 bucks.
Here's what they say in the Android Market:
Transform images with core Photoshop features in an app designed for tablets.
Combine images, apply professional effects, share results with friends and family through sites like Facebook, and more – all from the convenience of your tablet.
