When you’re done shopping, visit these blogs that I checked out this morning… My comments are in italics.

http://www.mamaknowsitall.com/ – @mamaknowsitall on Twitter – She loves October, and so I do.  For me, October means my BFF’s birthday, homecoming, and boots.  Her most recent post is about finding down time alone to do online tasks so that she doesn’t take time away from the family.  She’s right – it is hard to build a business based in social media, while trying to find time NOT to be on social media.  Here’s my comment.

“My kids have asked that I have a “no phone” time, and I plan to at least try! Luckily, my kids are in online school, so I can get a lot done while they are studying or online.”

http://virtuousstyls.com/ – @virtuousstyls on Twitter – Now this blogger is known for finding amazing pieces for literally pennies. Being raised in the South, I love a good cowboy boot.  I am scared to death of corns and bunyons, so even though I always thought they were cute, I didn’t think it was possible to have cute feet and rock cowboy boots.  I got some nice short ones last year, and her most recent post reminded me that I ought to bring ’em out.  Boot weather is finally here!

“You paired an African Print top, skinny jeans, and cowboy boots, and made it work – love the fearlessness of this outfit!”

http://www.sonyashappenings.com/ – @sonyasparks on Twitter – She recently reviewed Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil and is hosting a giveaway on her site.  There are a ton of coupons and giveaways listed.

“I would use it on the kids’ skin!”

http://www.smartnsassymom.com/ – @smartnsassymom on Twitter – She just posted a recipe for Honey Grilled Pork Chops. They look amazing, but I don’t cook pork. I eat it occasionally because of a bacon addiction, but I have never actually cooked pork before (sounds crazy as I type it) – we didn’t grow up eating it. I think I’ll try it with chicken breast.

“I am going to try this out with chicken breast.  My husband will grill in the snow, so I know I can get him to fire up the grill outside since I don’t have an indoor one…”

http://netballscoop.com – @netballscoop on Twitter – My mom LOVES this game.  I recently found out about a local team, that I am hoping I can go and watch soon… very cool to get news from around the world on the sport.

http://sincerelymama.com/ – @mothersorganic on Twitter – This husband and wife team own an online baby boutique called Mother’s Organic, and have recently launched their blog.  Check out their recent date night adventure! Here’s my comment.

“We rarely get out of the house for date night, so I completely understand being like, “UGH!” when the movie doesn’t live up to expectations. We’ve been opting for movie night in so that if whatever we choose on Netflix doesn’t work out – we can just pick something else.”

http://blackandmarriedwithkids.com/ – @blackandmarried, @ronnietyler, and @lamartyler  on Twitter – I’m black, and married, with kids, so I check out the site every now and then. I met the couple at my first blogalicious in Miami, and they were working… hard! I commented on their post about the Obama’s anniversary.

“So beautiful! I love how they show so much affection… I don’t remember seeing that much genuine public affection from any other presidential couple.”

http://www.babyteems.com/ – @babyteems on Twitter – Has anyone ever really planned out the perfect time to have a baby, and it worked out to the level of perfection that was in your head?  I honestly never really pictured myself with kids and a husband, so the life that I thought I had planned out was different from God’s plan, and guess whose idea of perfect won out…

“Love the honesty in this post! I always laugh a little inside when people say they are waiting for the right time, because there is no PERFECT time to have a baby. There will probably never be a perfect balance between time, money, and general readiness. I wasn’t expecting any of my three, and I couldn’t have predicted where I am right this very minute – but it ended up working out…”

http://jestingsandthings.com – @jessicaw1981 on Twitter – Man. I am guilty of being ungrateful sometimes. I think we all have our moments. Sometimes the loss and pain that others experience can snatch us out of our own pity party into the reality of how blessed we are.

“I accept your challenge to do better!”

http://www.blackenterprise.com/category/blogs/off-my-chest/ – @alfrededmondjr on Twitter – I missed the Blogalicious conference this year, but apparently somebody who went, owns a business, and hasn’t watched shark tank.  Being the product of two business owners, married to a business owner… and owning a business – we have our own family versions of Shark Tank any time someone comes up with a new idea.  You have to present it, defend it, and win funding. We are in competition with things like ballet lessons, soccer league, and violin. Unfortunately – great idea or not – the kids’ enrichment programs usually win.

“I watched Shark Tank for the first time a couple of weeks ago… it is addictive!”

So that’s it for my 10 by 10. Check out these bloggers and tell them Eva from SocaMom.com sent you!
