When I got the message that my friend was having a baby girl, I immediately volunteered to do her baby shower… almost 500 miles away. I was warned that her friends were super talented, crafty folks, so I was going to have to bring my A game. \u00a0I think it came out pretty well! \u00a0Here was another one of my greatest hits from the weekend… DECORATE THE CUPCAKE!<\/p>\n

I pulled this one out of my brain based on the nickname that my friend had for her new addition – cupcake. \u00a0I had heard of cupcake decorating parties where kids got to decorate their own cupcakes. \u00a0I figured that was a little juvenile for a baby shower, so I came up with a more grown cupcake decorating activity. \u00a0The baby was the cupcake, and we would decorate HER by drawing on, and re-working onesies, pants, and bows. \u00a0These were some seriously crafty party guests, so they got a kick out of it.<\/p>\n

What you will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Onsies – $9.99 for 4 at Wal-Mart<\/p>\n

Ribbon – from about 50 cents a spool at Michael’s<\/p>\n

Glue gun – tiny one for about 2 dollars (don’t forget the sticks!)<\/p>\n

Pants, hair bows, etc – Walmart, prices vary<\/p>\n

Buttons, jewels, tiny flowers – Michael’s, prices vary<\/p>\n
