What made you decide to do THAT? (Translation: Are you crazy?)<\/em><\/p>\n

Nope, not crazy.\u00a0 We had a whole lot of reasons for doing it, so there was no one deciding factor.\u00a0 I have a gifted daughter,\u00a0 who needs special attention and a constant stream of information.\u00a0 She wouldn\u2019t get that in your standard Kindergarten class, especially since she did Kindergarten\/1st<\/sup> grade at 3.\u00a0 What on earth do you do at 5 and 6?\u00a0 I had a son who scored \u201cpost high school\u201d in reading, comprehension, and several other areas, but was below grade level in math.\u00a0 If I am paying for school \u2013 that is unacceptable (he could be behind for free).\u00a0 My middle son is interested in business and cars.\u00a0 That\u2019s it.\u00a0 He wants to know how a combustion engine works\u2026 at 7\u2026 I doubt he will get the information he wants and needs in a regular first grade classroom.<\/p>\n

As parents, I feel that it is our job to give our kids the best we can give them.\u00a0 I felt like homeschooling was the best I could give.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
