These days my calendar is a tangle of recitals, family reunions, birthday parties, vacations (sort of), events, and outings. <\/strong> Some days I enjoy that calendar jam packed with daily adventures, but other times, I just want to be still, be alone, be quiet, and write. \u00a0I just want to hear the keyboard clicking away while I type up all of the stories whirling around in my head. \u00a0What’s a good story if you haven’t shared it? Well, I think it’s not a story at all – it’s just another really long thought stuck up in my brain with the short ones, like, ‘ I wonder how many bags of broccoli are left in the freezer’.<\/p>\n

Whenever I want to write, and I start to think that life is getting in the way of my writing, I remind myself that I wouldn’t have near as much to write about if it weren’t for this busy life that I have.<\/strong> I take comfort in the thought that at some point there will be quiet moments that I can write my stories, and there will always be something going on around here to feed my imagination, and supply me with plenty of fiction and non-fiction stories to share. \u00a0I won’t have to dig deep into my memory to find them, although I could. \u00a0As long as I’m always going somewhere, and planning to do something, there’ll be inspiration all around me, delivered fresh daily.<\/p>\n

This manic life isn’t getting in the way of my writing, it is just making me be more creative about when I write, how I write, and what I write.<\/strong><\/p>\n
