Before I started SocaMom.com, I wasn’t a big reader. \u00a0I have always been told that to be a great writer, you have to read… a lot. \u00a0So I started reading more, joined a book club, wrote a book, started a book club, and now at year three, I really enjoy taking a break from my hectic day and relaxing with a book.<\/p>\n

I spend a lot of time with kids’ books because I homeschool, so getting to read an adult book is a treat. \u00a0A little mystery, a little intrigue, a little steam, and a lot of scandal – you can find all of that and then some coming “from the pen of Ni’cola.”<\/p>\n

On April 10th, I will be chatting with Jamaican born author Ni’cola Mitchell about life, writing, and how she balances being a speaker, blogger, mentor, and more, with being a mom.<\/p>\n
