So if you are going for 10 days, 15 pairs of underwear.<\/li>\n<li>Socks\u00a0 &#8211; 1 for each day \u2013 sneakers without socks with the amount of walking you will be doing = torture.<\/li>\n<li>Swimsuits\u00a0 &#8211; 2 so that one can be drying, while one is being worn<\/li>\n<li>Beach Cover Up or t-shirt \u2013 putting on real clothes after the water park is irritating<\/li>\n<li>Beach Towel \u2013 for the water park<\/li>\n<li>Jeans x 2 \u2013 It can get chilly at night<\/li>\n<li>Shorts and t-shirts \u00a0&#8211; 1.5 of each per day \u2013 unless where you are going has a washing machine<\/li>\n<li>Prince or Princess outfit &#8211; so you don\u2019t end up having to buy one there<\/li>\n<li>Ears with their names on them\u00a0 &#8211; get them online, and they can have them on the first day at the park \u2013 also keeps you out of gift shops<\/li>\n<li>Light Jacket or zip up sweatshirt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Accessories<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Belt \u2013 if you buy the kids clothes big like I do so that they last a while, you\u2019ll need one of these<\/li>\n<li>Shades\u00a0 &#8211; They are so much cheaper to get before you get there and need them<\/li>\n<li>Hair accessories (clips, ponytail holders, bows, barrettes, headbands)<\/li>\n<li>Baseball cap or visor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Shoes<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Tennis shoes\/Sneakers\u00a0 &#8211; 2 pair that are either Velcro, or Converse All\u00a0 Stars \u2013 they STAY tied!<\/li>\n<li>Flip flops &#8211; For shower and the water parks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Personal Items<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Contacts or glasses \u2013 bring extra of either or both because my husband almost lost a contact at the water park, and glasses are hard to hold onto on some rides.<\/li>\n<li>Ponytail Holders and headbands<\/li>\n<li>Comb<\/li>\n<li>Brush<\/li>\n<li>Razor (for legs and bikini line)<\/li>\n<li>Nail clipper<\/li>\n<li>Tweezers<\/li>\n<li>Scarf \u2013 if you tie your hair up at night. I know, not everyone does.\u00a0 I don\u2019t, but I brought one anyway.<\/li>\n<li>Toothbrush and cover<\/li>\n<li>Lip Balm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Travel size<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Shaving foam<\/li>\n<li>Toothpaste \u2013 1 each person<\/li>\n<li>Your favorite shampoo and conditioner \u2013 1 each person<\/li>\n<li>Extra conditioner \u2013 I put it in my hair before I went to the water park, that chlorine or whatever that stuff is in the water is awful on the hair<\/li>\n<li>Vaseline<\/li>\n<li>Gold Bond Powder \u2013 if you have supersize thighs like me, or just ones that may be slim, but still touch, all that walking, friction, and sweating can create a painful situation. If that is your issue, I suggest powdering up the thighs first thing in the morning after your shower.<\/li>\n<li>Contact Solution*<\/li>\n<li>Body Wash \u2013 1 each person<\/li>\n<li>Lotion \u2013 1 each person<\/li>\n<li>Insect Repellent*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Grown Ups<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Underwear\u00a0 &#8211; 1.5 pairs per day. So if you are going for 10 days, 15 pairs of underwear.<\/li>\n<li>Socks\u00a0 &#8211; 1 for each day \u2013 sneakers without socks with the amount of walking you will be doing = torture.<\/li>\n<li>Swimsuits\u00a0 &#8211; 2 so that one can be drying, while one is being worn<\/li>\n<li>Beach Cover Up or t-shirt \u2013 putting on real clothes after the water park is irritating, and I am not one of those parents who lets the kids walk to the parking lot in swimwear<\/li>\n<li>Beach Towel \u2013 for the water park<\/li>\n<li>Jeans x 2 \u2013 can get chilly at night<\/li>\n<li>Shorts and t-shirts\u00a0 &#8211; 1.5 of each per day \u2013 unless where you are going has a washing machine<\/li>\n<li>Light Jacket or zip up sweatshirt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>General<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Playing Cards \u2013 regular* and uno. Sometimes if you have small kids, you can\u2019t or won\u2019t be staying out all night, have no babysitter, and will be in the room with sleeping kids with nothing on TV. Or you may have older kids who have to come back to the room because the little ones are tired \u2013 they may enjoy a card game with you or other older kids.<\/li>\n<li>Candy \u2013 My kids are not used to candy, but I packed each one of them a small bag for the trip, and let them put two or three pieces in their backpack for the day.\u00a0 It was a little pick-me-up when they were waiting in a line, or just getting blah.\u00a0 They never ended up eating all three pieces, but they liked having it available.<\/li>\n<li>Mini-backpacks for each kid \u2013 My husband and I didn\u2019t carry a bag at all the whole trip.\u00a0 It was amazing \u2013 liberating!\u00a0 The youngest was five, and she did fine with hers.\u00a0 Every day we would get the kids dressed, and they would set up their backpacks. Each backpack had:\n<ul>\n<li>A couple of pieces of candy<\/li>\n<li>Autograph book and pen<\/li>\n<li>Shades<\/li>\n<li>Water bottle (frozen or very cold)<\/li>\n<li>Pack of cookies or crackers or both<\/li>\n<li>Small package of Kleenex<\/li>\n<li>Disposable camera*<\/li>\n<li>Travel size sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>Lip Balm<\/li>\n<li>Mickey Mouse Ears<\/li>\n<li>Baseball Cap or headband<\/li>\n<li>Ponytail holder*<\/li>\n<li>Poncho<\/li>\n<li>My phone number, my husband\u2019s phone number, and five dollars<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Believe it or not, it all fits.\u00a0 I got the backpacks from Wal-Mart for like 5 bucks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gum \u2013 it was great for the kids on the flight to keep their ears from popping too badly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Don\u2019t forget<\/span><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Ponchos for each person (it will probably rain, despite the sunny forecast, so always have them with you)<\/li>\n<li>Sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>Photocopy of your driver\u2019s license, insurance card, and all credit and debit cards that you carry on the trip (front and back) &#8211; If you lose them, you will need the copies to get home, cancel them, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Cell Phone Charger &#8211; bring two so that you can have one in the room, and one with you in the park. Some restaurants have outlets, and you can charge up while you eat.<\/li>\n<li>Laptop or smartphone \u2013 Most hotels have wi-fi now, and you can use either to plan your day.\u00a0 There is also an app for Android and iPhones that gives you the wait times for each ride.\u00a0 Keeps you from walking clear across the park only to find out that there is a 90 minute wait for a ride.<\/li>\n<li>Water \u2013 when you arrive, go to the nearest Wal-Mart or Walgreens and get a case of water.\u00a0 Water is $2.50 a bottle in the park.\u00a0 Soda is cheaper, but if you don\u2019t want your kids to be all cranky, water is best. You can get 24 bottles for less than two bottles in the park.<\/li>\n<li>Autograph book for each child \u2013 I bought mine online before we left.\u00a0 Once again, it keeps you out of the gift shops.<\/li>\n<li>GPS or a smartphone with it \u2013 If you already have one, you may as well bring it\u00a0 for the rental car so that you don\u2019t have to request one and pay extra.<\/li>\n<li>Snacks for the kids on the plane ride \u2013 they didn\u2019t have cookies, crackers, peanuts, NOTHING on that 2.5 hour flight.\u00a0 If we hadn\u2019t put something in their bags, they would have gone insane up in there.<\/li>\n<li>Copy of each itinerary in each person\u2019s suitcase \u2013 Kids too!\u00a0 Hopefully your kids won\u2019t wander off or get lost (those doors on those trains and trams in the airport can close on you pretty quickly) , but it is important that if they do, that they can show someone where they are supposed to be.<\/li>\n<li>Pepto Bismol and suppositories* \u2013 for obvious reasons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I put each person\u2019s personal care items in a large zip lock bag.\u00a0 We each had a backpack for the plane, so the personal care items went in that to make going through security easier.\u00a0 We didn\u2019t check any of our luggage.\u00a0 In the kids backpacks for the plane were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>playing cards<\/li>\n<li>paper for drawing (for the older one)<\/li>\n<li>gum<\/li>\n<li>a Snuggie and socks<\/li>\n<li>a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse laptop (for the two younger ones)<\/li>\n<li>cookies and crackers (they didn\u2019t even give us peanuts on the plane ride which was more than two hours)<\/li>\n<li>Mickey Mouse ears<\/li>\n<li>Shades<\/li>\n<li>Lip balm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*I didn\u2019t pack it, but either wished I had or got it when we arrived.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Check out the Disney World Surprise Video that made all of the packing and planning worth it.
