Eva Greene Wilson is a wife, mother of 3, author, illustrator, graduate of Howard University School of Law, the owner and editor of SocaMom.com®, and the founder of the SocaMom® Summit.
Eva is known for creating fun videos for brands, having an engaged community, and being a trusted source for information on the Caribbean, blogging, parenting, and education. Since 2011, she has blogged about Caribbean American parenting, working on campaigns for companies such as Wal-Mart, AT&T, and Beaches Resorts.
She won Best Parenting Blog and Best New Blog in the Black Weblog Awards, and she is a 2016 SheKnows/BlogHer Voices of the Year Honoree and presenter in the Long Form Video category. She served as a judge for the awards in 2017.
Whether she is speaking to children about becoming writers at a local library, hosting a literacy event at a community center, encouraging children to become master storytellers in Montserrat, speaking to women about blogging at the National Council of Negro Women’s conference in Washington, DC, or turning a law school assignment into an award winning presentation in Los Angeles, Eva keeps all those who meet her engaged, entertained, and inspired.
Founder of the SocaMom Summit
As the founder of the SocaMom® Summit, Eva brought together more than 70 speakers representing over 20 countries, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic to discuss issues that are important to the Caribbean diaspora. The event, held virtually in April and June of 2020, collectively provided the community with over 50 sessions totaling more than 30 hours of discussions, teaching, and entertainment for both children and adults.

Eva Wilson on the Mic: Interviewer
Eva Wilson is just as comfortable being interviewed as she is interviewing celebrities within and outside of her Caribbean parenting niche. She has interviewed actor Craig Robinson (The Office), Celebrity Chef Roger Mooking (Man, Fire, Food), and Former Miss Universe Wendy Fitzwilliam. While the majority of her interviews have been Caribbean musicians like reggae legend Bunny Rugs and international soca stars Bunji Garlin and Fay Ann Lyons, she also spends time interviewing mothers and sharing their stories with her audience on SocaMom.com.
