This weekend I am at the Titus 2:1 Conference – a Christian Homeschooling Blogging Conference… yes, there really is a conference for everything. I found it last year during a Google Search, and rushed to call my husband to find out if it was cool if I went on such short notice. His reply was, “I guess that would be for you to decide.” It was local, and when I tweeted that I really wanted to go, the conference founder tweeted back that she hoped I could make it. I decided, and I went.
Obviously, since I am here again, it was really great. I always feel bad when someone asks me a homeschooling question, and I have no clue what the answer is. I do it – but there’s no way to know everything about every curriculum, support group, video series, or resource. I do what I do in the few hours that I have, every day is not the same, and I don’t always do it at home.
At 2:1, this year and last year, there are so many fantastic bloggers that you can learn from. I am adding blogs you can follow, resources that you can use, and more – all here in a list – so that if I can’t answer a question that you have, you now have access to the people that I have access to. You can ask them questions on Twitter, join their conversations on Facebook, and check out the resources on their blogs. Many of them have communities dedicated to homeschooling, so that you can connect.
Follow the #2to1conf hashtag on Twitter to follow along with the conference at home. Keep checking this post for new links to new bloggers I meet, speakers that share their wisdom with us, and resources I find out about this weekend. These are bloggers that I actually met or heard speak at the conference. I am adding this straight from the cards that I received from people I met, chatted with, ate breakfast, lunch, or dinner with…. if you are a homeschooling blogger, you should consider this conference. The 2:1 Conference is in Chicago next year, May 2-4.
