One night, a friend of mine tweeted the tiniest of prayers: Dear Lord, please help me get my shit together. It went viral.
Through a series of trials, revelations, situations, and many, many tiny prayers, this friend curated a following of friends and fans who she prayed for, prayed with, and preached to in the most real of Twitter sermons.
The first time I went to a blogging conference by myself, I had myself that I would try to meet as many people as I could. I wouldn’t find a “crew” and I would make sure to choose a different table to sit at during each one of the sessions.
I pray you find your true home.

In one of the sessions, I sat at a table with writer and photographer, Raegan Mathis. I met and networked with a lot of bloggers that weekend, and eventually, we ended up at several of the same brunch meetups around Washington, DC. It was at one of these brunches that, as she tells it, she decided that “we gone be friends.”

Fast forward a few years, many brunches, shows for her photography, installations of her work, and collaborations – she has hit yet another milestone. She has published her first book, the Book of Tiny Prayers.
I pray you put the phone down and enjoy what’s in front of you.

Some of you saw me break down on Instagram when I got my advance reader copy of the book. I thought I was going to be fine, but to have a whole book where someone is praying for YOU. I wasn’t ready. The book FEELS good in my hands. It is heavy. It begs to be written in. And, of course, the cover is absolutely beautiful because it has one of Rae’s phenomenal photos on it.
It’s a book, a prayer journal, a devotional, and most of all – it is real.
I pray you spend less in Target than you expected.

This book has already taught me a lot about myself and the power of sending prayers up for other people. I pray that this book blesses you even more than it has already blessed me.

Whew! I LOVE the one that says “I pray you put the phone down and enjoy what’s in front of you” WOW! POWERFUL. Thanks for sharing this I have got to look into grabbing it for myself now.
The tiniest prayer I’ve said. That’s tough because I feel like even the smallest prayers can have huge impacts.
This is actually my speed! I’m not into journals much, but I love this one.
I’ve prayed for five more minutes of rest before. Lol ..but as a Mom, I can forget it. This book sounds interesting and real!
This sounds like a really good book and would definitely make a perfect present!
This was really powerful! You never know how the smallest prayer can help!
Thanks for this recommendation. I could use a book of tiny prayers!
I love this tiny book and I love the connection you have to it even more. Those conferences are so nerve-wracking to me sometimes. I’m glad you were able to turn it into a rewarding experience. I may just have to add this book to my wishlist.
