BIOLUMINESCENT MOSQUITO BAY AKA “BIO BAY”

If the kids like Avatar, they will LOVE Mosquito Bay.  It is the brightest of the bioluminescent bays in Puerto Rico… and the world.  When we went, there were kids as young as three, maybe younger, in the kayaks.  Try to schedule your trip at a time when the moon is the least bright, the darker, the better. I have never seen anything like it. We did our tour with Abe’s Tours, and it was $50 per adult (12 and over), $25 for children (11 and under), and free for children under 4. The guide was amazing.  It wasn’t Abe, who I did have the pleasure of meeting, but he was very knowledgeable about the bay, the creatures in it, and where to go to get the best view of turtles, fish, and stingrays swimming in the bio bay.

I don’t have pictures of this because you need a special camera to capture it, but trust me on this one.  It is a major attraction that you don’t want to miss.
